I find comfort in familiarity.
Being here, in San Diego, has made me realize a few things...
- how much I miss my family
- how much I appreciate my closest friends
- how much I love coast guard
- how much I want to go back
Most of the time, I feel like I'm on vacation. It's starting to hit me that this is permanent. And don't get me wrong, I absolutely appreciate the kind hospitality people have been showing me, like David, but I can't seem to be comfortable enough to come out of my little shell. In time, I'm sure.
